Hi everyone,

we planned to release OPT 2.0.0-beta1 today, but unfortunately the technical problems with SVN temporarily defeated me. I was making a complete system reinstall 5 days ago and until now I can't get Eclipse subversion client up to check out the source code. Before making a release, there were planned some changes in the SVN repository structure that would allow more separate development of OPL libraries, and moreover the core autoloader was intended to receive the full PHAR support. I'll do my best to fix this as fast as possible, however in fact - if you download the current sources from the SVN, they won't change much to the release (if even).

Hmmm, beta1 is 29 version on SVN? This error with not extended template isn't resolved as I see in bugtracker. When you release beta1 tell everybody on devblog or forum, please.

P.S. Is there Zend implemenation made? If not, I will do something for it, because I'm learning Zend Framework now and I don't want to leave OPT out.

Well, no. As you can see via http://svn.invenzzia.org/ version 29 is a new repository layout without files. It's quite difficult to set up everything but it will make developing OPL much easier. AFAIK Zyx won't commit files untill he makes OPL code work again.

And of course everyone will be informed about the release of beta1, don't worry! - there will be a news on invenzzia website and maybe Zyx will write a post in out blog (I don't know for sure ;)).

As far as I know Zyx is working on that bug. With new autoloader (for new repository layout) it required some deeper changes in code, that's why it lasts so long.

Ad. PS - this extension is planned. I know that Zyx has made some code for one website on ZF, propably that code will be used to make public version. But OPT 2.0 has the highest priority now.

Well, the autoloader was the easiest part, it took mi about 30 minutes to make it fully work with all the stuff like custom library paths and PHAR. But I decided to include a workaround for the bug with XML prolog as well. I'm going to finish it on Monday, then there will be a commit, establishing a 2.0 branch and the beta1 will appear on Tuesday. Now I have to deal with some other project.

PS. I can send you that port prototype for Zend Framework. It's quite simple now, but allows to use many ZF feratures with OPT:
 - Replaces Zend_Layout and Zend_View with their OPT-ready equivalents. The design is similar.
 - Overwrites Zend_Form.
 - Introduces a component which is a box for ZF helpers, mostly - the form helpers.

That's great to hear that. I'm using the newest version from SVN now and problem disappeared. Please send me this prototype to megawebmaster [at] gmail [dot] com. I'll use it for sure, maybe I'll do some additional code to this port, when I'll be learning ZF.
