Hi everyone,

as you know, the primary development of Invenzzia projects uses Subversion. Due to the permission and security issues this repository is available only to Invenzzia members. However, I see that there is a group of people that would like to help the development and I see a possibility to simplify their lifes: to create Invenzzia project profiles on Launchpad with Bazaar version control system. Bazaar repositories are open for everyone that have their accounts there - you can easily create your own branches, develop it and publish. How it would work:

1. Launchpad performs regular updates of the main Bazaar project branch from our SVN repositories.
2. If you wish to start your own branch to test something, fix some bugs, create a custom patch or whatever else, you simply do this with Bazaar software and upload to Launchpad. Your branch is available on-line as yours.
3. Interesting pieces of code are imported back to SVN, published in "official" repository and so on.

Such feature would be very useful for documentation translators, too, as the documentation is also maintained by our SVN and the translators do not have to be developers. However, before I'll set up everything I would like to know if you are going to use this feature. It requires a bit of work and time, and we are quite busy here.

Even if nobody is interested now, if someone would like to create a community branch in the future, please simply mail to Invenzzia and we'll set up everything for him.
